NSCF 2017 open session: What’s on in NSCF — News from the field.

Member institution presentations on ongoing projects and future plans.

This is the moment to proudly share what´s new in our science centres / museums, always a favorite part of the yearly conference and you are all encouraged to contibute.

Each presentation can be 7 to 10 minutes long - already three science centres have booked their contribution but this session will stay open for further contributions until September 15th.

SKAPE by Jærmuseet:
This is a project working on how to improve learning in Science Centers. Learning in exhibits, workshops for children, and workshops for teachers. What will be presented is a new Bio gas exhibition and the findings a Master student in science didactics found writing his thesis about learning in this exhibit.

A new project at Navet, about sustainibility where classes work with challenging assignments about sustainability during a year. The final assignment is to present their Dream city. Navet will also present their initiative in programming for different ages in context of the new Swedish curriculum on programming. We offer visits at schools to help the teachers to get going.

Please contact Guðrún Bachmann if you want to tell us some wonderful news from your centre / museum.
